Terms of Service

1. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current.

2. Institutions and Verification

Institutions and their representatives may claim and verify institutional identities. CampusWorld reviews verification submissions and may approve, reject, or revoke verification. Verified status may be suspended for misuse or inaccurate claims. Institution administrators are responsible for managing their members and communities in accordance with these Terms.

3. User Content

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant CampusWorld a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute your content within the platform for the purpose of operating and improving the service. You represent that you have the rights to your content and that it does not infringe third-party rights.

CampusWorld may score, rank, and moderate content using automated quality and integrity systems, and may limit, remove, or invalidate content that violates these Terms or our integrity standards.

4. Mentorship

Mentorship is offered between users and is not professional advice. Mentorship features may be included with an institutional subscription or purchased individually. Capacity limits apply based on your active entitlement. CampusWorld facilitates matching and scheduling but is not a party to mentorship relationships and is not liable for their outcomes.

5. Payments and Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed through Stripe or PayPal. Recurring subscriptions auto-renew until canceled. You authorize us and our payment providers to charge the selected payment method. Pricing and features are displayed at checkout and may change; changes do not affect active subscriptions until renewal.

Refunds, where applicable, are handled in accordance with the provider's policies and applicable law. You may cancel a subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Violate laws or the rights of others, including intellectual property and privacy rights.
• Impersonate another person or institution, or misrepresent credentials or faculty status.
• Post abusive, harassing, discriminatory, or false content.
• Attempt to access data you are not authorized to view, including through other institutions' records.
• Interfere with the platform's security, integrity, or quality-scoring systems.
• Use automated systems to scrape, overload, or disrupt the service.

7. Moderation and Enforcement

CampusWorld uses trust, integrity, and abuse-detection systems to maintain quality. We may restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts and remove content that violates these Terms. You may appeal certain decisions through the in-app appeals process. We may also take action to comply with legal obligations.

8. Intellectual Property

The CampusWorld platform, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by CampusWorld and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks or branding except as expressly permitted.

9. Disclaimers

The platform is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CampusWorld and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the platform. Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CampusWorld and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your content, your violation of these Terms, or your misuse of the platform.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or for any other reason, with or without notice. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
